1. Back cover… I was in a coma for 5 weeks. I saw my favorite old hound cotton Joe. His eyes were full of tears and he told me telepathically, “ I can’t believe you are grieving for us after all these years.” “We really suffered when we died but we are all Ok now. You are the only one suffering and it really hurts me!” “You never got another hound, you never set another trap, you never hunted at all. You bought that motorcycle and ride it to that bar out in the country late at night, you sit on the back porch by your self and get drunk, you don’t talk to anyone and you don’t have any friends. And you are getting old. You are missing your life. “Get you some hounds and go hunting. I would be there with you if I could but I can’t.” “I told this to a friend who has cut my hair for years, she was crying and said Jack that was not your dog, that was God!” Another girl I happened to meet on the phone only once, a week before, who had a red bone Hound for sale said the same thing upon hearing this story. “Jack that was not your dog, that was God.” You said you couldn’t see God when he spoke to you, but you could see your dog, Jack that was not your dog, that was God!” “God loves you and does not want you to suffer.” “He knows what is in your heart and knows how to reach you!”
