Gentlemen,
A very exciting day at 'Dogland'.
I had set aside 'Fri-Mon' to vacuum and dust the house.
I do this every year or two whether it needs it or not.
So I spent a day moving furniture and vacuuming
and the machine was not working properly.
I checked the bag, the filter, cleaned the vacuume itself,
dusting it and cleaning out the dust and hair inside where the bag goes, and then I saw it!
Under the bag, on the bottom of the chamber,
was a bunch of dusty hair. I grabbed it and cleaned it out,
then turned the machine upside down and shook it to further dislodge all the dusty, hairy crap that accumulated there
and I saw what appeared to be another filter!
I took it out, a flat piece of plastic and sure enough
a plastic thing with foam under it appeared!
A sure enough filter!
I beat the dusty hair out of it and not wanting to get it wet
I put it back in and started the machine.
There is a wand on the side which can be grabbed and used to pick up anything the machine itself can't get because it is stuck in the carpet hair, or it's on the ceiling or whatever reason.
I removed the ridged sucker hose from the side
and held it to my hand really not expecting much results,
but I liked to not have been able to get my hand back!
It was sucking the paint off the walls
and I have me a vacuume now!
The 2 days I spent vacuuming were wasted.
But now I am cleaning the house like never before.
I haven't seen the carpet in the den since the assault and battery, and three failed murder attempts in 2006. But I went through the knife shop and compressed the gear into less boxes
and vacuumed the den and hallway and I can see the color of the carpet now!
It's been years!
So I was feeling so accomplished at fixing my own vacuume cleaner, I went out and started a fire on the back pasture burn pile and burnt all that brush and horse apple limbs from the 12" snow storm last winter. Now, with some desil,
I can easily mow around the burn pile and mow the garden.
I have another day to...
'dust my desk'!
Vacuume and dust and mop and go crazy with my newly tuned up vacuume cleaner,
my clean machine.
Then Tueday I get my disability check and I can get me some beer!
And rather than sit around a dirty old house and drink beer
and watch the same old movies all the time,
I can sit around a clean house and drink beer
and watch the same old movies all the time!
Thank you...♪
