Many years ago {once upon a time...} I was talking to Lt.
Weddel Goggins Dallas County Sheriffs Dept. about knife fighting. The Lt. mentioned that he had a $300. dollar 'fighting knife' that was a perfect design, space age materials, strong enough to chop a hole in the top of a car and out the side, and then shave with it. and it only weighed 5 ounces.
I thought about that for a minute and replied:
"If I was going to a 'Knife Fight'...
I mean 'You are cordially invited to a Knife Fight tomorrow evening...rsvp}
If I was going to a 'Knife Fight', I would take an $8.88 Machete and a small metal trash can lid".
The Lt. thought about that one for a few minutes and said:
"You'd chop my arm off... there isn't any way for me to get through your defense!
I never thought about that!"

So folks, never sell the Machete short as it is a good hacker as well as a good stabber, good for cutting kindling wood too, And you can't beat the price.
